Have you heard of the Magic Number?
It is the amount of times one should drain the breast to increase, decrease, or maintain breastmilk supply.
The Magic Number is not personalized care!
You deserve more than generalized advice.
The magic number is all about the amount of times to remove milk from your breasts.
I do not recommend the magic number as it is generalized advice and you deserve personalized care.
My breasts produced 16 ounces in a sitting and if I pumped 3-4 times a day to maintain my supply, I would not have made it over 3 years pumping.
When I say be careful about where you get your information, I mean it. A holistic pumping plan is very important to figure out what you should be doing, how often you should be doing it, and with what products you should be doing it with. Lactation is person-specific and what works for one person may not work for you.
Also, the magic number does not into account if someone is pumping with the right pump or flange size which can greatly impact pumping output if using the wrong tools.
If you would like to discuss how often you should be pumping, let’s put together a premier pumping plan that discussed pump, flange, products, and schedule in a 30-minute Premier Pumping Consult at www.pumpwithpurpose.com/services
