Hydrate to Thirst for Breastmilk Production
Breast milk is about 90% water. Although research has found that nursing mothers do not need to drink more fluids than what's necessary to satisfy their thirst, experts recommend about 128 ounces per day.
I drink approximately 4-32 oz hospital cups a day. I fill it up and drink a cup with each meal and/or snack. I put tape on your cup each day and mark it with numbers 1 to 4 and then mark off each time I finish and refill as an easy way to remember that I’ve gotten all of my cups in for the day. Feel free to try if this option works for you.
Pump with Purpose water bottle is great in the house, but especially on the go. You can clip it to your pump bag or put it on the side or inside your pump bag.
