Hi everyone!
I’m currently 13 weeks postpartum and exclusively pumping. Up until this past week, I was pumping at 9PM, 2AM, 6AM and then every 2-3 hours during the day. I came down with some kind of a bug and needed more sleep, so I gave myself some grace to sleep more and just set my alarm for when I needed to be up at 5AM. I typically woke up around 3:30 or 4 each day, so I still got a middle of the night pump, but it wasn’t scheduled. The first 8 weeks or so I had a great schedule - every once and I while I overslept but I made up for it if I did. I dropped one of my night pumps when I was consistently sleeping through it at 10 weeks, no matter what I did to try to wake up.
I’m planning on pumping at 2 and 6. I will be going back to work at the beginning of August and I want to make sure that I’m making more than enough so if I have a dip, I will be okay. I currently make about double what my daughter drinks on a daily basis, so there’s some wiggle room but I’d still like to see as little of decrease as possible (preferably none!).
