Does anyone have any tips for dealing with congestion? I don't want to take any meds and potentially decrease my supply as I don't produce much more over baby.

I'm no doctor but when I was sick and had congestion I steamed my face with mentol crystals and tried to breath in the steam. This helps clear the nose. Not sure what the cause of the congestion is but I also drink garlic an ginger tea 1-2 times a week to help build up my immune system. The ginger I use is Caribbean/ Jamaican ginger. It's more potent but any ginger will work well too. Both garlic and ginger are safe for breastfeeding and are galactogogues. But garlic specifically can help lower blood pressure in you and baby so beware if you have illnesses that may be affected by this and that's why I def don't do it everyday. Ginger on the other hand has no side effects based on what I read so that is something that I drink more regularly and it helps to boost my immune system. I also add tumeric in that tea too sometimes when I really need the immune system boost and feel like I may be catching/fighting something. It's safe for breastfeeding as well. Btw I'm using fresh ginger dice up , garlic cloves diced up🧄and fresh tumeric diced up to make the tea. I'm not using powders or anything like that. I'm no doctor here and please research before you try. But just sharing what has been helping me stay afloat with all the flus going around.

We mum's hardly get sleep and are so prone to being sick bc we are tired and our immune systems are struggling bc of that. So take care of yourself mama. Hope it gets better.
