Exclusive Pumping

Hello!

I am a new mom and my little girl is just one month, i am exclusively pumping and I have been using the medela freestyle as a primary pump and just came to learn that this is not good and you should have two pumps, I just got the spectra pump, but the amount of parts that this pump comes with is ridiculous. I love the medela cups, and I am able to use them with the spectra pump; but I am wondering if there's a difference between using cup collectors and using the flange , valve connector and milk bottle over using the collection cups? Is there a difference?
