Well, it happened. I went outside and randomly thought to check on my stand-up deep freezer only to find the door didn't seal and some of my milk had thawed out. I immediately burst into tears and started to panic as I took out brick after brick of milk to check on it. I'm almost 5 months pp and have pumped (like all of you) around the clock to have a freezer stash. The thought of losing over 2500 oz of milk made me sick. Thankfully, by some incredible miracle, 95% of it still was completely frozen and the other 4% still had chunks of frozen bits so I was able to refreeze it. All in all I lost about 50oz, which stung a bit, but thankfully didn't make a significant impact on what I still have. a my boys will get a luxuriousmilk bath tomorrow!! I made room in my inside freezer, my second outdoor freezer and drove to my aunts house 20 minutes away at 10:45pk to use her chest freezer and inside freezer. We're defrosting the freezer that had all the milk so we can ensure the door seals properly. I am also looking into ways to protect my stash and make sure this never happens again! Any and all suggestions welcome!! It was the Mondayest Monday ever!! 🥺🥺

So sorry to hear this mama! Glad you were able to save a larger portion of the milk. Every drop counts so I’m very sorry about the ounces lost but thankfully, it doesn’t go to waste too!
